Guide to Exercises in Chemical Emergency Preparedness Programs
Barry Leonard (ed.). This Guide has been prepared by the EPA as a service to local & state chemical emergency response & planning authorities, incl. local emergency planning committees & state emergency response commissions. The Guide consists of 3 Tech. Assist. Bulletins: (1) Introduction to Exercises in Chemical Emergency Preparedness Programs; (2) A Guide to Planning & Conducting Tabletop Exercises; & (3) A Guide to Planning & Conducting Field Simulation Exercises. Each of these bulletins have been revised to ensure comprehensive coverage. A 4th section, providing example simulation exercise scenarios, has been added. These resource materials should enable emergency response & planning agencies to undertake exercises on their own.
