NASA Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel (ASAP): Annual Report for 2011
Joseph W. Dyer (ed)
Since it was established in 1968, the Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel (ASAP) has been evaluating NASAńˇ╗s safety performance and advising the Agency on ways to improve that performance. The ASAP bases its advice on direct observation of NASA operations and decision-making. In the aftermath of the Shuttle Columbia accident, Congress required that the ASAP submit an annual report to the NASA Administrator and to Congress. This annual report examines NASAńˇ╗s compliance with the recommendations of the Columbia Accident Investigation Board, as well as NASAńˇ╗s management and culture related to safety. Charts and tables. This is a print on demand edition of an important, hard-to-find report.
