Cancer Policy Framework
Christopher DeRosa (ed); Barry L. Johnson (fr). The purpose of this Cancer Policy Framework is to define scientifically credible, internally consistent policy positions to guide activities that address the public health implications of exposure to carcinogens. A central theme of this Cancer Policy Framework is the use of risk analysis as an organizing construct to promote optimal decisions in the Agency’s human health assessment. ATSDR places a preeminent emphasis on disease prevention. The elements of this framework are intended to guide the pursuit of its mandate to assess the relationship between exposure to hazardous substances & the effects of those substances on human health.
