Ellen R. Gritz (ed). The Tobacco Research Implementation Group (TRIG) was charged with establishing the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) tobacco-related cancer research priorities for the next 5 to 7 years. Through a concensus-building process, the TRIG identified & prioritized a core set of tobacco-related cancer research opportunities; 9 were identified as the highest priorities, requiring immediate implementation. The research priorities presented in this report also address the issues of tobacco initiation, regular use, addiction, & cessation among youth & populations at disproportionate risk.
