The data indicates that the drug of choice among both male & female arrestees continues to be cocaine; the % using it is higher than for any other substance tested. Among male arrestees, the rate of cocaine use dropped slightly. Marijuana use continues to escalate among young male arrestees & the use of methamphetamine has risen in several western cities.
