Description
Bengt Hagglund, Kjell Nireus & Per Werling. Experimental smoke-filling tests were carried out in a single-story building. Trays of methanol were burnt. The fire gases were made visible by the use of artificial smoke added to the fire plume. This study concerned the effects on vents by varying the position & distribution of the inlet openings near the floor. The effects of dividing the building into two reservoirs by a smoke curtain were considered where the inflow of air into the fire reservoir was provided by the ceiling vents of the adjacent reservoir. Charts, tables & drawings.
