Description
Torbjorn Tjarnhage. Two types of films were examined with respect to fundamental properties that are essential for biosensor applications. The first was formed by electrostatic binding of charged electroactive transition metal complexes into hydrophilic ion exchange polymers. The second comprised thin phospholipid layers, prepared from liposomes composed of mixtures of naturally occurring amphiphiles. Several lipophilic biomolecules are located in & designed to function within the lipid bilayer structure of the membranes that enclose cells & cell organelles. Illustrated.
