The State Museum of Pennsylvania, located in Harrisburg, PA collects & preserves objects associated with Pennsylvania’s history & heritage & interprets this heritage through exhibits & public programs. Since 1924 the museum has acquired around 200 of them, making this the largest collection in the Commonwealth. Because they are usually stored in darkness away from the light which can quickly fade their colors & damage their cloth, this publication was issued as a way for those interested to learn more about them.
