This report provides info. on: (1) “clean sweep” divestitures, in which one of the merging parties divests all of its assets in the relevant product market(s), such as the retail sale of food & grocery prod. in supermarkets, within a single geog. market; (2) single buyers, who purchase all divested assets in a geog. market; & (3) upfront buyers, who are identified by the merging parties &, as agreed to by FTC, included in the proposed consent order as the buyers of the divested assets. Focuses on divestitures from FY1990-2000 for the grocery store, drug store, funeral serv., & gas station industries.
