Telecommunications: Many Broadcasters Will Not Meet May 2002 Digital Television (DTV) Deadline

DTV enables broadcasters (BC) to offer their viewers clearer, sharper pictures & a wider range of broadcast services than are possible with analog tech. This transition to DTV was mandated by Congress & the FCC, with 2006 as the target date for ending analog trans.
