This report reviews coordination among the federal agencies engaged in protecting safety & health at hazardous material work places. Specifically, it assesses: (1) the extent to which Federal agencies have overlapping statutory authority or procedures; (2) employers’ & workers’ experiences with multiagency efforts to protect work place safety & health at hazardous material facilities; & (3) the extent to which agencies coordinate their enforcement efforts & communicate to employers the nature & extent of their coordinated activities.
