Ned Smith (au); Jim Yeager (au). The last remaining woodland caribou population in the U.S. has inhabited the southern Selkirk Mountains, located in NE Wash., N Idaho, & SE Brit. Columbia. Fed. & state agencies in the U.S. & in Brit. Columbia have participated in a coop. program to recover the woodland caribou. This report provides info. on: the amount & source of funds expended on the woodland caribou recovery program; the results of the recovery program, incl. the outcome of efforts to augment the population; & the impact of the recovery program efforts on land use.
