Barnett S. Kramer (ed). Proceedings of a conference on cervical cancer held at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in April 1996. The conference was to provide physicians & the general public with a responsible assessment of current screening, prevention, & treatment approaches to cervical cancer. A non-Federal, non-advocate, 13-member panel representing the fields of obstetrics & gynecology, gynecologic oncology, radiation oncology, & epidemiology participated. In addition, 28 experts in obstetrics & gynecology, gynecologic oncology, radiation oncology, gynecologic surgery, & psychology presented data to the panel & a conference audience of 500. Also includes a 38-page NIH Consensus Statement, “Cervical Cancer.”
