Oxygenates in Water: Critical Information & Research Needs

Oxygenates are chemicals added to fuels (oxyfuels) to increase the oxygen content & thereby reduce emissions from use of the fuel. It focuses on gaps & limitations in current info. that constitute the most immediate needs to be addressed in support of risk assessment & risk management efforts related to oxygenates in water. This document serves as a starting point to future research. It is not a comprehensive review of issues pertaining to oxygenates in water, nor does it describe in detail specific studies or projects that are needed.
