JPDO is responsible for coord. the related efforts of these partner agencies to plan the transformation to the Next Generation Air Transport. System (NextGen): a redesign of the nat. airspace system. FAA will be responsible for implementing the policies & systems necessary for NextGen, while operating the current air traffic control system.
