Chemical Heritage Fdn.
The memoir of Al Giacco, the former Chairman and CEO of Hercules. A problem-solving chemical engineer who used innovation to make sure things got done in the most effective way. Giacco became a key figure in establishing Hercules as a major player in the aerospace industry during the 1950s and 60s. He was asked to provide trouble-shooting leadership for Hercules’ Polymers Division, and then to take charge of corporate planning, where his recommendations for dealing with the new world created by the energy crisis became the blueprint for the corporate restructuring that he initiated when he became Chairman and CEO.
