PT is used in the prod’n. of ultraviolet-curable inks & coatings, electron beam irradiation-curable coatings, & radiation-cured & photocurable castings of urethanes & epoxy resins, & as an ingred. in acrylic glues, polyester, fiberglass, industrial baked coatings, & polymer-impregnated concrete. It is being testing based on its high prod. vol. & use, its potential for human exposure, & a lack of adequate test. Conclusions: Male & female Tg.AC hemizygous mice had significantly increased incidences of squamous cell (SC) papillomas of the skin at the site of dermal appl’n. Treatment-related SC carcinomas occurred at the site of appl’n. in male mice. Nonneoplastic lesions noted at the site of appl’n. included hyperkeratosis, & chronic active inflam. Illus.
