Focus on Hispanic Americans
Angela Allen (au)
A teacher-created activity book for grades 4-8. Its purpose is to broaden teachers’ & students’ knowledge of the contributions made by notable contemporary Hispanic Americans. There are 5 sections: Education & Scholarship, Fine Arts, Science & Med., Sports, & Civic Leadership. Within each section are biographical sketches of selected Hispanic Americans, with a picture or graphic representation of each one. Next is a page of suggested activities which you can include in your lesson plans. There is a bibliography of related reading material. A student’s activity page is also supplied for each Hispanic American.
