The act requires the service to develop recovery plans for species facing extinction or likely to face extinction. Recovery plans identify threats to the speciesí survival & the actions needed to mitigate those threats. This report provides info. to facilitate the consideration of proposed amend. to the act. In April 2006 a report provided info. on the extent to which recovery plans contain est. of when species are expected to be recovered.
