In 1986 the Augustinian Order and the Archdiocese of Valencia celebrated the 500th anniversary of the birth of Saint Thomas of Villanova. This annniversary was somewhat obscured by another celebration, the 1600th anniversary of Saint Augustine of Hipopo’s conversion (386-1986). It was at this time that the Province of Saint Thomas of Villanova of the Order of Saint Augustine decided to launch a monumental project, the English translation of the sermons and works of Saint Thomas of Villanova. This volume includes a Biography; the Prayer of Saint Thomas; and a selection from his writings for every day of the year. This edition was published in Commemoration of the 100th Annniversary of the Founding of the Province of Saint Thomas of Villanova, Order of Saint Augustine, in the United States of America 1796-1996.
