Comm. of the Council of the City of New York designated The Center for Law & Social Justice & The DuBois Bunche Center for Public Policy at Medgar Evers College of the City Univ. of New York to commission a City of New York M/WBE disparity study. The purpose of this Study was to determine if a significant disparity existed between the availability of ready, willing & able minority & woman-owned businesses & the utilization of such businesses in the City’s procurement process. Industries analyzed were construction, architecture & engineering, professional services, standard services, & goods. The study covered July 1, 1997 to June 30, 2002.
