In March 2005, a dialogue was held between consumers of mental health services & rep. of various sectors of the primary health system. They: Identified issues involving mental health consumers & their experiences with primary care providers; & Developed recommendations regarding attitudinal shifts & systems transformation that can lead to improved mental & general health care responses to people with mental illnesses by primary care & mental health providers. The participants’ findings & recommendations are summarized here.
