Between 1988 and 1990, a survey was conducted of 14,000 Amer. Indian and Alaskan Native youths in the U.S. Students from 50 different tribes, across 200 schools in a dozen states participated. This is the largest and most comprehensive survey to date of the health status of Native Amer. youths living on or near reservations.
