Description   De Witt Clinton, ca.1829-1881 engraver. This carefully drawn scene of the north side of the 700 block displays the variety of businesses in the commercial district just before the Civil War. The stretch of buildings is a handsome architectural display and the many pedestrians enhance the interest.
